I'm rating what might be a good story kind of low. Because I have nothing to go off of other than a few opening salvos. People see green meteors falling from the sky. The End. Maybe this series is good, maybe its bad.
Thinking Dead: What the Zombie Apocalypse Means -
All I know is I bought the first book, listened to it, and was left wanting more on many levels. How everyday people, situations and problems slowly get pushed out of the picture as some strange phenomena grows in import and gravity. Part one of this series is mostly about the characters and their back stories. But it is not dry or low octane.
After 30 minutes into the listen I downloaded the other two episodes. Superb narration.
Highly recommended. The writing and the performance.
The little girl in the wheel chair. Very touching part of the story. Makes you hope she'll be ok in book II. How does this one compare? Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting? Any additional comments? Even though the walking dead have not came into the picture yet, this is real good story telling.
The author's note in the beginning states that this is a series. Since there are only 3 books, I hope the last book have some type of resolution or a forth, fifth, sixth, etc Daniel Fite does good work developing several different characters in preparation for the zompoc to come. Unfortunately this short piece doesn't get down to the zombies appearing, but I enjoyed the writing, and the reading enough to search out the next part of the story. Character Development was awesome. Most books now a days about zombies is just eat flesh!!!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry? Yeah, the cliffhangers. Can't wait!! If you like Disaster Movies, you'll love this. Pennywise briefly takes the shape of Eddie to bring Richie into a room full of clowns, his biggest fear, before jumping out from a coffin.
IT once more takes the shape of Eddie when his head pops out from a mattress, spitting some acidic substance in front of Bill and Richie. The clown appears once more to kidnap Beverly, prompting the rest of the Losers to venture into the sewers. Once there, Stan is attacked by the deformed woman from the painting, while Beverly is rendered catatonic with the deadlights.
IT once more appears as Georgie to trick Bill, who shoots it in the head. When looking for their totems for the ritual, Beverly goes back to her old home, where she meets an old lady called Mrs. Kersh — actually Pennywise posing as the new resident of the house. Eddie goes to the pharmacy, where he also has a flashback of an illusion IT made for him there, where his mother was attached to an operating table and attacked by the leper. Back in the present, the leper attacks Eddie again.
Richie recalls a time in when he was attacked by the Paul Bunyan statue a scene taken from the book , and back in the present, IT appears as a zombie Adrian Mellon before coming down from the statue as Pennywise.go here
